My name is Buddy, which doesn't quite seem like the best name because I do NOT want to be buddies with just anyone�'�| I found myself in rescue after my elderly owner passed away, so a lot of my history is unknown to the humans and I am reluctant to share anything about myself. I like to keep my humans on their tippy toes. My foster parents have lovingly described me as a sour patch kid.. you know that little slogan�'�| 'First they're sour, then they're sweet'? Well, I can be quite sour, but I do mean well. When I am on my anxiety meds, I can be just the bestest little boy. There is NOTHING, and I mean N O T H I N G that I love more than snuggling with my foster mama. If you try to wake me up or pick me up when I am with my foster mama, I may bite you. You have been warned. Do not disturb me while I am sleeping. Honestly, sometimes I don't even wanna be disturbed when I am awake. If you try to crate me, I will bite you for your little attempts to contain me and then when you succeed on getting me in my crate, I will scream�'�| LOUDLY. So, you probably just shouldn't try. Getting my harness on is super fun for my humans, too�'�| but it's doable. Anyways, I know I sound awful, but I do have some redeeming qualities. Plus, when I am comfortable with you, I won't nip you anymore. Ok well maybe just here and there�'�| but not ALL the time. When I am on your lap, I am in heaven. Cover me up with a blanket and we can watch any movie you want together. I will even wake up to give you kisses every once and a while. I am good with other small dogs. No cats or kids, please! I would do best in a home with a fenced-in-yard since getting my leash on can be a bit time consuming. So I will ONLY BE CONSIDERED for families with a fenced-in yard. Oh, and my foster mom wants to meet you.. so I will also ONLY BE CONSIDERED for adoption within 3 hours of Paris, OH. If you have a warm lap and are willing to work with Buddy on his trust issues, he is available for an adoption fee of $375.00 and is currently fostered in Paris, OH.
