About Arya

Adoption Fee: $75
Pit Bull / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

This is my girl Arya. She's 1 year and 8 months old. Her birthday is 4/23/21. I've had her since she was a puppy. She's a sweetheart and a kisser. Although she loves us big humans, she's quite nervous and scared around children, not gentle either. She absolutely has to go to a home with no children and no pets. I spoke to her vet about it and they said she needs to go to a home with no children; non negotiable. She can be playful around certain bigger dogs and usually gets along with my mom's toy poodle but she's pretty tough and she doesn't understand her size. Because she's an alpha, I would advise her to be the only pet in the home, to avoid fighting. Boy, I won the funny-dog personality lottery with this one! If you want a dog that listens when you talk and occasionally talks back, this is the winner. Yes she's sassy, but who doesn't love that coming from a brindle beauty? She's a sleepy girl who always tries to steal your attention (and your food) but all she wants to do is play! Give her some treats and do some training with her and she'll tire out a bit. She's got a bit of anxiety but all she needs is a patient owner who has time to spend with her! She would do better in home with a yard to run off all of her energy! She's smart and knows a few tricks such as: sit, stay, down, off/on, leave it, let go, jump, speak, touch (nose to palm) and hold (snout in hand U). Her release word is 'release.' We're working on finding a 'toy' and bringing it back like fetch! This was the first dog I raised and wouldn't give her away if it weren't for some unfortunate life changes I am enduring that I cannot control. I just can't take care of her like I used to. My current living situation also doesn't allow her to have a very free life, she deserves better. It breaks my heart to lose her but this is what's best for both of us. Please contact me with any questions if you are serious about taking her home.
