A sympathetic volunteer at New York City's high-kill pound, saw something special about him and wrote as follows: 'Sweet Boy surely lives up to his name! But at 2 years old, who'd ever think he'd have to fight for his life! Handsome young Sweet Boy was abandoned and dumped [at the city pound]. He was wiggly for his exam, and ate treats readily. Sweet Boy is highly social, soft, wiggly, affectionate, and seeks attention. He allowed all handling with a soft body. He'd love to cuddle at home with you, so please make some room for him in your heart and home. Save him before it's too late!' With the help of an experienced foster volunteer, a retired NYPD Officer with a soft spot in his heart for rescue underdogs, a rescue group saved SWEET BOY from certain death. Over the past month with his skilled foster, an under-socialized, non-houstrained Pitbull-mix puppy who pulled hard on leash and jumped-up affectionately on every single person he met (as his video above shows) has matured into a lovable take-home ready companion who takes treats gently, walks easily on leash and deserves a loving forever family of his own. SWEET BOY would be happiest in a home with a large fenced yard with room to run and play which he absolutely loves to do! SWEET BOY, who loves every person he meets including kids, is not only dog-friendly but with a careful introduction, will probably make friends with cats too!
