About Boar

Everyone meet Boar! This gorgeous fella is looking for a new home or a rescue to take him in. Boar is about three years old, and weights 52 pounds. Boar is a shy fella, but warms up to new people rather quickly. Despite being shy, he is excited to see anyone and everyone. He has the sweetest little smile and meets us at the gate with tail wags every day. He is so curious about everything! Boar is a very gentle and calm dog, so he'd be great with a family that has kids. He did great on his dog test, and was so excited to finally have a puppy friend to play with in the play yard here at the shelter! Boar was returned to the shelter because he is terrified of storms and attempts to escape the home. He will need a patient family who can work with him to overcome these fears or have tools like playing music to cover the sounds of storms to keep him calm. There are many methods and tools that can be used to address fears like this. Boar has received his first round of vaccinations, been dewormed, and heartworm tested. Boar is located at the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter in Brownsville, Tennessee. His adoption fee is $60 with an additional vet fee of $60 to be paid on the day of his neuter appointment. We have no pull fee for reputable 501c3 rescue groups and can help arrange transport. Please share Boar to help him find his forever home!
