About Snickerdoodle

Greetings! My name is Snickerdoodle and I am searching for a new home and a new name. Currently I find myself at the Santa Maria Animal Shelter and while it's lovely and all a warm, cozy, active home is what I need. As you can see, I am quite easy on the eyes and have built up a good amount of fans in my fan club. I don't let it go to my head though because I am focused on my goal of a forever home. To pass my time at the shelter I like to play a little game with the volunteers who take me out on a walk. See, I lead them to believe that because I have shorter legs that a walk would be all that I want. Boy are they wrong! When we start on our walk I wait a minute to start jogging slowly, then a little faster and a tad faster after that. Now, being the gentleman that I am, I do turn my head to make sure they are still with me but inside I am laughing. You are laughing now too, right? So, a person who likes to jog would be a good match for me. What is also a match for me is someone who believes in treats because I love them and take them ever so gently. I'm pro status at taking treats they say. They also say I am so sweet and love to snuggle up. As far as living with another dog, let's meet and see how that goes. Cat? Not sure, so the safe bet is no. Young kids? Might be good bowling pins but don't know for sure. So, if you think you would like to talk to someone about me let my marketing manager know. *Our friends at Shadow's Fund have a neat program called Take Me Home which matches dogs in municipal shelters in California with loving homes in the Pacific Northwest. Transportation is included and proper introductions done to make sure we are a match. They have it down since they have been doing this successfully for years!
