About Bennie

Please read his biography all the way through to learn what he needs in a home placement and how to apply. Bennie was surrendered to rescue by his owner who did not fix their dogs and thus had puppies. Bennie has been DNA'd and is a mix of Chihuahua, Poodle, Min Pin & Dachshund. He has a beautiful curly golden coat with white highlights and was born on 1/30/22. He is full grown at 20 lbs. We were able to get him into foster care, and he is doing well. He is a real love bug once he gets to know you, which took two days to achieve in his foster home. He is motivated by toys and human affection. He has learned to use the doggie door and is 98% housebroken. Bennie knows his sit command and he is working on better leash walking skills thanks to his foster mom. He will do best in an adult home, and if you do have kids they need to be 16 and older. If you have another dog, Bennie would like a happy-go-lucky male or female to play and bond with. Bennie will need an owner with time on their hands to help him with further socialization. He is timid and afraid at times, so he needs some confidence building. Bennie would prefer a house with a yard situation rather than apartment/rental living.
