Dougie was adopted out from us in 2017 and his owner recently retired and could no longer afford to care for him, so he's back. He originally came from a hoarding situation through Animal Rescue Corps. He is guessed to be around 9 years old and is a sweet senior boy. He co-exists well with other dogs, but would be ok as an only dog, too. His favorite activity is napping in his dog bed. He does well with housetraining in his foster who does not have any carpets, but his previous adopter reported he would have accidents on the carpet. He hates to be crated and will vocalize until removed, but he does really well loose in the house, so it hasn't really been an issue in his foster. Dougie has allergies and needs to be maintained on a special diet. He also has dry eye and needs daily eye meds to keep his eyes lubricated. Dougie's adoption donation of $250 helps cover the cost of his veterinary care. Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL. For more information on adopting, please email us at [email protected] If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped.
