About Rocky

Meet Rocky Available for adoption - apply at Perfectlyposhpaws.org Rocky is a typical Chihuahua, meaning that he is scared in new environments and new people. But once he's comfortable he's the sweetest and most loving boy. He needs time to decompress in his new home and would be a great companion for someone retired or working from home. Rocky is not needy or loud, he can keep himself entertained and enjoys walks to the park. A family with lots of foot traffic will stress him out. But a quiet home is just perfect for him. He worked with a trainer for two weeks for positive interactions with dogs and Rocky excelled at his board and train sessions with the trainer. He absolutely loves playing fetch and retrieves the ball back to his person. He is very playful and can keep himself entertained with squeaky and rope toys. He is smart and would be great with agility or scent training. Perfectly Posh has sent Rocky for two weeks to board and train with a behavioral trainer. The trainer worked on positive interactions with new dogs. Rocky is living at our daycare center and is doing very well. The rescue will pay for 6 in home behavioral training sessions, so there is a smooth transition. Rocky is currently with a trainer and she is working on positive interactions with new people and new environments. He will be working with the trainer for two weeks. His trainer reports that Rocky is doing very well and he is listening and obedient. Please consider meeting this sweet boy. He's the biggest cuddlier and enjoys social activities like walks to the park, trips to Petsmart and Home Depot for exploring the outdoors. He does zoomies in the backyard, gives nudges for pets and scratches on his head. He is loving and affectionate, super friendly and outgoing. Social and great with dogs that are calm and quiet with him. He's living at the posh daycare center and does great with the dogs at our facility. Rocky isn't great with mouthy puppies and jumpy dogs. We really need him to find his forever home and are willing to work with the adopter as Rocky needs a patient and understanding owner.
