About Oliver

Are you looking for a new best friend?å%A0Are you in search of a heated blanket that will also give you kisses?å%A0Have you always wanted to pet the softest velvet hippo? Then Oliver is the boy for you! Oliver is a senior 60lb pittie (~7yo) who would love to curl up with you on the couch, but will happily join you on that (moderate) hike as long as he gets to spend time with you. Day to day, he's pretty low maintenance in his energy needs, two walks around the neighborhood is sufficient. When hanging out at home, Oliver is the definition of a cuddlebug and his favorite place in the world is in your lap.å%A0 Oliver is crate trained, house trained, and does great on leash (may pull a little for a good sniff). He's able to be left out in the home without being destructive and has been left for up to 8 hours. He's smart, eager, and VERY treat motivated, making training sessions fun for both of you! He has done well with dogs in both his current and previous foster home, however slow introductions are encouraged as he does not appreciate pushy dogs in his space. He would thrive as an only dog getting all of the attention, but he could also live with a canine companion that iså%A0easy going orå%A0submissive. Oliver loves ALL people and has done well with 6yo kidå%A0in a previous foster home. Oliver's one restriction is that he CAN NOT be in a home with cats. Oliver does have a limited diet due to some allergies, but it is easily managed.
