About Heffay

On Christmas Eve I took in this wonderful boy, Heffay, because the previous owner was losing housing. Unfortunately my wife is allergic and we need to hurry and find a loving/caring family for him. He is an incredible dog. Heffay is 58 lbs. 9 months old. Not neutered. Up to date on shots and vaccines. He has a bit of a scratching problem, very likely due to allergies since his scratching shows on common allergy zones by his ear, joints, snout, eyes. It's not excessive by any means. I took him to the vet 2 days ago and got him an anti-itch shot, flea and tick preventatives, as well as anti-biotics. We're currently watching his diet and trying to eliminate any allergy inducing foods. His scratching has subsided quite a bit. His previous owner wasn't actively concerned with Heffay's health and well-being. He wasn't walked regularly either. Since I've been with him, he's easily taken to potty training(not a single potty in the home), crate training(he's great in a crate when he needs to be in one), he's amazing around all people(both kids and adults), and he's always under control and in good spirits. Heffay is a bit shy when meeting new people, but never aggressive. He's really the perfect companion. On Christmas Day heffay got to meet 25 friends and family in one small home and he handled it so well that he became the star of the party. This dog is so full of love that he'll make your heart melt. As stated before in posting this from Philly. I'm entirely new to pets so please bare with me or shoot me advice if my post is incomplete/incorrect. I'm not looking for any fee or anything like that, but I'd like to interview the potential adopter to ensure that heffay will go to a safe and loving home. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
