Her family feels like they are not able to provide her with the care she needs at this time. Name: Athena Age: 1 year and 4 months DOB 8/16/2021 Sex: Female (not spayed) Breed: Pitbull Mix Location: Fresno County, CA Vet Information: Athena is a medium sized dog approximately 60 pounds. She is not spayed. She has not had a heartworm test. She has not seen a veterinary ophthalmologist. She is not microchipped. Per her owner, Athena is up to date with vaccines. Dog Information: Athena is an indoor dog who is crated, she is housebroken but not leash trained. Athena knows the following commands, sit, stay and come. Her owner states 'We have practiced these commands in the floored, kitchen area. She does not roam free in the rest of the house, but does spend some time out of her crate in the kitchen area or shorter periods in the backyard to use the restroom; if sunny, she might sunbathe. She is not out front much & hasn't gotten used to it, but she can with practice.' Athena is described as being outgoing, nervous, good with men, women and teenagers. She does live with a cat and wants to play so a dog savvy cat might be okay. She has been around small and medium dogs and does fine. She just gets very excited. Athena is not possessive with toys, treats or food and has never snapped or bitten anyone. As far as new environments her owner states 'She has not been in new situations or surroundings much, because of this & because she is visually impaired, I think she would feel nervous and would take some time to adjust.
