Handsome house panther Alistair is a wonderful little kitten man. He appears to be a Maine Coon/Domestic Mix. Ali came in to my care on Friday, October 7th of this year. He was found nearby lifeless in a driveway and his finder reached out to me. I immediately contacted my vet's office to have him seen given the description his finder provided. On the way to their office I truly thought I had lost him. His initial examine revealed nothing out of the ordinary, a poorly nourished kitten, riddled with fleas and exhausted from life outdoors without him mom. As he had a hard time eating, and seemed to have a knot in his throat, he made a return trip to my vet on October 10th. An exam that day revealed a strange growth on his soft palate. Two days later on October 12th little Alistair was sedated and a ginormous polyp was removed from his soft palate. For the next forty-hours I slept on a dog bed beside Ali monitoring him and gently syringing feeding kitten food to him. Within seventy-two hours he appeared to have turned a corner and began to improve and eat small portions of food on his own. Ever the fighter Ali continued to improve and started to interact with kitten girl Marple. He even began running with her, albeit just short distances at first. Fully healed Ali is just the dearest little man. Every morning once I wake up and start motoring, Ali is my shadow, pressed against and rubbing against my ankles, walking in lockstep with me. He assists with selecting the cans of cat food, placement of food plates and filing of water dishes. Ali even monitors me as I cat box scoop. Then the real fun begins as he plays a raucous game of catch/fetch with his favorite red jingle ball, the one in the photo with him. I am convinced that this kitten man knows that red is his color, snuggling in the red bed he is pictured in here and proudly walking around the house with his red jingle ball in his mouth. Ali is personality packed. He enjoys snuggling and watching Hallmark Channel movies, he is especially fond of football and basketball and attempts to capture the ball from the television. He currently lives with other kitties, and is best friends with another sixteen week old kitten, little Miss Marple. He also enjoys the company of my dogs. Just an all round gregarious little gent. Alistair is neutered, combo tested negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, is rabies and distempered vaccinated and microchipped. If the sleek coated kitten man sounds like perfection/purrfection, the kitten man for you, please feel free to contact me. I do when possible like to receive a vet reference for potential adopters.
