About Buddy

Meet Buddy Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit. Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption. All our dogs are completely vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We are currently accepting applications for Buddy. Buddy is approximately 8 years of age. Buddy's owner moved out of country and entrusted her family to take care of him. The family surrendered him to a Veterinary Clinic. Buddy sat in this vet clinic's boarding facility for 40 days. When the clinic failed to find an adopter for him, they listed him as unadoptable and scheduled him for euthanasia. Buddy is house trained, crate trained. He walks very well on a leash and enjoys activity. Buddy will do best as King of his Castle. We are looking for an active individual; who will allow Buddy the freedom of a securely fenced yard, daily exercise and walks and will be as loyal to him as his loyalty to his human. Buddy enjoys structure and positive instruction. We are looking for a family where at least one member of the family is a stay-at-home or works from home pet parent; a family that can help Buddy acclimate to his furever home and family.
