At only 10 months old, puppy KANAN has quickly grown into a handsome 85 pound gentle giant. According to his neglectful and uncaring former 'owner' who dumped him at the despicably cruel New York City kill pound, KANAN loves to play with frisbees, teddy bears, squeaky toys and Jolly Balls. KANAN is described as initially shy around new people but warms up quickly. KANAN lived with a small dog and was gentle around her. KANAN was reported to be friendly, playful and gentle around children. KANAN loves to be brushed and bathed, and is described as friendly, attention-seeking and loves following his loved ones around. KANAN is a bright dog who knows basic commands: sit, come, down, and give paw. During intake at the city pound that threatened to kill him (for no valid reason) before he was saved by a rescue group, KANAN was described as relaxed and friendly and allowed an employee to pet him all over, collar him and take his picture with no issues. KANAN lived with his 'owner' since he was a puppy and is in excellent health. KANAN's behavior around cats is unknown but he has shown no aggression to dogs of all sizes and has no bite history. He eats wet and dry food and pulls only moderately on the leash and when off-leash, KANAN may wander off but comes back when called. Hit the YouTube button to see his video recorded by the volunteers in the kill pound who loved him. Please call Andrew for more pictures and videos and the rest of KANAN's known story. KANAN has a low $150 adoption fee and can be transported to virtually any location in the USA for free! A generous charity will provide free food and snacks for a whole year, two free vet visits, free training, toys, a bed, collar and leash, all FREE! Thank You for considering KANAN!
