About Sally

Sally is in foster care with one other dog and a cat. Per a DNA test, she is 50% Treeing Walker Coonhound. She is mixed with pit, dashound, boston terrier, and chihauhau She LOVES all people! She is a fun and energetic dog who enjoys long walks, jogging, hiking, and bicycle rides. At the same time, she is a wonderful cuddler and is an avid Netflix fan. She walks well on leash when using a gentle lead (included with adoption) and treats when other dogs pass her. She is smart and can sit, stay, shake, and lay down. She is ok with confident cats. She enjoys the safety of her crate when her humans are not home. You would never guess Sally has a mild heart condition as it is well controlled on a low dosage of medication (atenolol), which costs less than $5 per month. If Sally continues on her medication and receives an annual echocardiogram ($500 / year) she is expected to live a long life with little to no complications. Her last echocardiogram was in September of 2022 and her report is available to potential adopters. Sally has been attacked by another dog in her past. Therefore, she may nip other dogs and is not a 'dog park dog.' With an extended introduction and training, she may learn to coexist with another dog. Sally is a happy and loving dog who can bring a smile to your face every day.
