About Scooby G

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Scooby G is approx 4 or 5 yrs old and is not only a handsome boy, he is a 55 lb goofball!! Thank goodness he was saved from the kill list at a SC shelter about 10 days ago. Since then, he has really come out of his shell, as he learns to trust humans again, and his zest for life is inspirational! And boy, has he made quite an impression! This gorgeous goofball really looks quite dapper in his coat doesn't he just! And guess what, this guy: - LOVES dogs, and is good with cats!!! - Walks great on a leash! - Great with kids! - Is house trained, crate trained and potty trained! - Doggie play dates? Oh my goodness, he just LOVES them! - An 'A plus' student learns commands and responds quickly, he is really treat motivated! - He is super quiet around the house! Scooby really is the complete package, so well behaved, the perfect gentleman, with a little bit of puppy at heart thrown in! Did we mention he loves to play, loves dogs, and good with cats?!! Wow, seriously! Hey, just wanted to make it clear in case you didn't read that part!! Did we mention this guy just loves to be your calming presence?!! Did we mention this guy can be super quiet as well?!!! Is there anything wrong this guy? Well, not really. Honest! But if we had to nitpick ...... He was looking thin when we got this guy to safety, but he is thankfully beginning to add some weight. When this goofball gets a tad excited on the leash, he just wants to go and play! ? He does like to 'talk' to ambulance sirens ? !!! Weird I know but those sirens are loud! And if there is an intimidating, growling dog coming at him, he will 'talk' to them and tell them to knock if off and not bully him! Scooby will on occasion, 'hump' his four-legged pals but the non-Alpha pups don't seem to bothered, just a kind of 'whatever' attitude. Any that aren't so keen on his 'humping', if you tell Scooby his 'Alpha' pals don't really like that, he will back off straight away. After all, Scooby isn't territorial or anything, he just wants to play! Not much seems to scare Scooby, but that weird contraption you call an umbrella, that thing is scary so he'll go and hide. Scooby really does have a zest for living in this world, and even though his past may not have been very kind to him, he is truly remarkable and has a wonderful spirit. His forever family will really hit the jackpot in having this furbaby come home. Additional photos available. NOTE: Scooby G is currently located in a foster home in SC. Transport to points north will be arranged for an approved adopter. Anyone interested in Scooby G will have the opportunity to speak to and video conference with Scooby G and his foster parent.
