Kira is a 7-year old American Staffordshire Terrier who is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. Fully grown, she weighs 75 lbs., is potty and leash trained, and knows obedience commands such as sit, down, wait, come, heel, and off. Kira is active, playful, affectionate, eager to please, and thrives with routine. She loves peanut butter, chewing on the perfect stick, playing fetch, belly rubs, learning new tricks, car rides, neighborhood walks, mountain hikes, and evening cuddles. Kira will always greet you excitedly at the door when you return home and comes with the most adorable excited wiggles. She has a protection mindset but ultimately desires lots of love and affection from people once she develops trust. Kira's great with adults and children alike but not good with other animals. She is afraid of certain noises. Kira's fear is triggered by strong wind, fireworks, gunshots, thunder, nail guns, and most other loud, booming sounds. When frightened, Kira will panic and immediately look for a safe hiding spot. She typically seeks shelter under beds when frightened. Kira has been with me since she was 9 months old when I adopted her from a rescue in Littleton. I'm looking for someone who can care for her like she deserves. Kira would be a wonderful pet for someone who is affectionate, active, patient, does not have other animals, and is an experienced and responsible pet owner. If you are interested in meeting her or know someone who is, please reach out to me. I'm happy to answer any questions and can offer lots of insight into her specific needs and behavior.
