About Sirius

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Sirius has had some seriously bad luck. He came into the shelter after being shot in the right shoulder. Thankfully the bullet wound is superficial with no apparent internal damage. Our medical team has Sirius on antibiotics and pain meds to help him heal. Sirius was originally walking with a limp, but even that has improved. He's looking better every day, and healing well. Sirius is a bit on the shy side with new people - understandable after all he's been through. He's not mean to new people, just wary of them. He feels much more comfortable with you if you take him outside and let him enjoy the fresh air. Pets are also appreciated! And you can defiantly catch his interest if you have a squeaky toy. He's more toy motivated than treat motivated, and he loves to play fetch. He's also potty trained! He's coming out of his shell a bit more each day - it's great to watch him blossom! Sirius is a 2YO Staffordshire who came into the shelter as a stray on 11/2/22. He weighs 51 lbs.
