Sadie is an 11-month-old, 40lb, milk chocolate brown-and-white 'American Pit Bull Terrier'. Sadie is a little timid in her kennel but calm and easy too leash up. She is a small dog, and a puppy at that. Sadie pulls hard on the leash as we head outside and I think it's because she's house trained, she seems to use the bathroom pretty consistently right away when she gets outside. After using the bathroom, we head to the big run in the field where she gets a chance to stretch her legs and run. She does a few zooms, puppy-style, but then settles quickly and inspects the agility run, focuses on the smells, and give me kisses and attention. She doesn't seem like a high-energy dog, but rather a medium energy one that benefits from a change in scenery, and can engage in her new environment while also paying attention to her handler. Sadie knows 'sit' and is working on 'wait', 'come' and 'paws up'. She is very smart and very willing to learn! She also is very affectionate, happily giving me kisses and snuggles and will gently take treats. She slightly jumpy initially but never mouthy and settles down the longer she's out of her kennel. She will do well in a family that is willing to continue her basic training and who will return the affection that she readily gives.
