About Rossi

This beautifully colored boy is Rossi, a 3 years old Australian Cattledog who weighs about 50 pounds. Rossi knows a ton: Sit, down, stay, come, place, crate, ('break' is his release command), he is hit or miss with 'heel' (needs practice), 'let's go', 'excuse me.' He also knows tricks: Spin, shake, leave it, happy trees (jumping up onto you - honoring his namesake, Bob Ross), jumping through hula hoops. He is house trained and lets you know when he needs out. He is also crate trained, goes in on command, and sleeps there at night. This boy is super smart! Rossi is looking for a home that isn't in a busy city or busy suburb. He would prefer his own person, maybe two but really he prefers just one person. He truly bonds to one person and has been known to resource guard his person. When meeting new people, he prefers a polite introduction. People should ignore him and let him decide when to meet. Rossi's ideal person has calm energy rather than big energy. Rossi is fine with other dogs but wants to be the only one in his home. He would love someone who takes him on outdoor adventures like hiking, camping, and such. Rossi also loves to rollerblade (click on the red YouTube button to watch). He is good in the car and good on leash. He is a wonderful pal for road trips, even resting his head on your shoulder from time to time. In busy neighborhoods, he can show some leash reactivity but with good leadership he is making great progress here. An added bonus with Rossi is that he doesn't have crazy energy. With a little activity, he is also happy to settle at home with his person. Rossi loves to fetch. This is his favorite thing. He gets a cute excited sit & scoot back before you throw/kick the ball again. Rossi needs a person who gives clear guidance and helps him build his confidence. In exchange, his person will get an absolute best pal. Rossi will shadow his person, but knows to get out of the way is you say 'excuse me.' He also will check on you if you sneeze. He also likes to cuddle. He is quirky and fun. Rossi is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Riverside, CA. Rossi is ready to meet potential adopters who are able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
