About Isabella

Adoption Fee: $375
Golden Retriever
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Pending adoption. Are you the special person who has the love and patience to help this sweet cinnamon-colored Field Golden Retriever blossom? This beautiful girl will be available for adoption after her spay surgery on 12/20/22. After nearly 5 years in a puppy mill everything is new and can be frightening for her. In spite of her hardships, she has a gentle sweet nature and has gone from cowering in the back of a crate to happily residing in an exercise pen out among the daily activity in her foster home. She is showing an interest in exploring outside the confines of her exercise pen and enjoys a stroll through her foster home and yard while on a leash. We discovered that she had been called Sue at the puppy mill and she responds to that name with a happy tail wag. With regular potty breaks, she has had no accidents in the house. She has not barked so far and the only sound she has made is a soft whimper while in the exercise pen to indicate that she needs a potty break. She is good with well socialized dogs and would do best with a canine companion. Although she can be easily startled, she does not appear to be afraid of men, women or older children. She is wary of people at first and it will take time to earn her trust. She has not been exposed to small children or cats. Field goldens are Golden Retrievers, they're just a particular style of golden. Like all Golden Retrievers, they're loving and aim to please. Field bred Golden Retrievers typically have darker coats in shades from gold to red. They're usually shorter than conformation goldens. Because they have shorter coats, they have less volume of fur to shed, so it may feel like they shed less. If you are interested in adopting Isabella please fill out an application at
