About TOMMY

TOMMY is our two year old bulldog/staffie mix who is stout and diesel at about 60 pounds of pure muscle mass! TOMMY wants nothing more than to get out of the shelter cage he currently lives in as he deserves to be spoiled, loved, kissed, and cuddled! TOMMY enjoys being outside and walks surprisingly well on his leash considering the fact that he does not get walked often by the shelter staff. TOMMY appears house-broken as his kennel run is normally clean for hours on end! TOMMY would benefit from basic obedience training as he really is a super smart guy who appears to have never had the chance to learn simple commands like sit, off, stay, and so on! TOMMY has not had much dog-to-dog interaction while at the shelter so it is difficult to tell how he would be living in a home with another dog. When introduced to dogs of his age, he can be submissive with some while 'stand offish and guarded' with others. As a result of these inconsistencies, a meet and greet between TOMMY and your dog(s) would be necessary before a final approval for adoption is granted. TOMMY loves everyone he meets and would do well in a home with small children or even seniors! TOMMY is currently at the Elizabeth Animal Shelter in NJ and cannot remain there much longer as the shelter is small and not conducive to his needs. He continually cries for attention as each day passes simply because he can't see and/or be with the EAC Staff that cares for him!
