About Jake

Jake is a short stocky boy. He is at least 5 years of age. Neutered and current on vaccines. He was Heartworm positive back quite a while ago but had treatment completed in Florida before coming to our rescue. He has been here quite awhile, all of our volunteers love him but he was adopted last summer w family that had a young girl with a ponytail. We think he thought it was a tug toy and grabbed it with his mouth. He broke the skin on her scalp and as a result he was returned. He has not been adopted again. He is on some joint supplements which makes him feel much better. He loves to be literally wrapped up in his blanket at night after his last belly rub of the day. He rides well in a car. He just wants to be with a person who loves him! He loves cuddles! He was good with other dogs until he gets uncomfortable or overheated then he gets grumpy w other dogs. So probably best w a family w no young kids or other pets. He will give all the love you need from a pet! And he has the cutest little underbite. Weighs 55 lbs but short and deep chested. Walks well on leash. Sits on command.
