About Tulip

Pointer
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Tulip is about 4 years old and what a sweetie she is. She came up from Texas with Heartworm disease but went through treatment and is now ready for her very own family. Being a pointer, she does have a high prey drive so no little critters. She will need a yard of her own with a 6' fence since she has some spring in those legs. Tulip rides okay in the car, not her favorite thing but she will lay down and be quiet. She loves walks and can pull a bit, especially if she sees a squirrel running around. She does need some training in this area. Tulip is housetrained to use a dog door and leaves human things alone. She is quiet inside and loves exploring the yard using her nose to check things out. We have no idea if she is a hunting dog or not as she was found living on the streets almost starved to death. During her stay in her current foster home she had to be kept calm and quiet with no activity due to the treatment she was undergoing. She is now ready to be a dog and have her very own family to love on. She enjoys being where her humans are at but is not an overly affectionate girl. Due to her mature nature older children would be recommended. If you would like to know more about her please submit your application https://allmixedupdogrescue.org/adopt/
