Payne is such a handsome and friendly boy originally from Georgia and adopted at 6 months old found himself suddenly without his family at age 2 years old . Payne was adopted during COVID when everyone stayed home. Now, his momma claimed she has no time for him and rather then returned him back to his rescue - she returned him to the shelter where he was at 6 months after his owner went to jail. Now there again, didn't understand what was going on. He was very anxious when we received the call to pick him up. After 30 minutes into our drive he began to give kisses and continued to placed his paw on my arm as if he was seeking comfort. I had to rub his paw and tell him he was okay. He was definitely nervous. By the time we arrive to our destination, he was full of wags, and became a total lap dog. Payne needs a loving home where he is cherish as a family member and loved. Loved to where he will not be abandoned a third time or dropped off at a shelter. Payne wasn't even vetted like he was supposed to be as contracted and promised by his adopter. The only vetting done was what his rescue did prior to his adoption. So for two years he had no follow up care. Now, his vaccines are up to date, microchip and is scheduled for neutering. He is dog friendly and people friendly too. We believe he will be an awesome addition to any family, but he is strong and pulls during his walks so, we recommend a family that is active and able to handle his bully. breed strength.
