About Pepper

PEPPER'S IDEAL FOREVER HOME: Pepper is estimated to be a 1 year old Australian Shepherd mix. Her ideal home will be patient and willing to continue working on her house manners. Her forever home will also need to be very active as she's not much of a couch potato. Pepper loves to get the zoomies out back, so a yard is preferred with at least a 5ft fence. She enjoys her people to be home most of the day as she gets separation anxiety when her people are not in sight. In her foster home, she has clung to the female more than the male. PERSONALITY & BEHAVIORS - Not a huge fan of strangers, so slow introductions are a must - Loves playing with a Kong toy, but also loves to see what other items around the house would make a good toy - Follows her person around the house, but will sneak away inside to explore more - Gets the zoomies in the backyard - Grows springs on her feet often - Very curious about everything SOCIALIZATION - Great with other dogs and has started to show interest in playing with the foster family's German Shepherd - Not yet cat tested - Not kid tested, but kids 12+ should be ok TRAINING - Knows her name and 'come here' - Learning her crate is a safe place - Working on leash walking - House manners in progress - Additional training/remedies will be necessary for her separation anxiety HEALTH - Approximately 1 year old - Up-to-date on vaccinations - Spayed - No known major health or dental issues - Heartworm negative - 23lbs To learn about Colorado Corgis and Friends adoption process and complete a meet and greet/adoption application for Pepper, go to - https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step.
