About Royal

Royal is from a shelter in Sierra Vista. He was found stray, abandoned and no one ever claimed him. He's a young 80+ pounds of love and energy and is very strong for his size. He may be okay with the right female if properly introduced. Royal is very smart and can be stubborn, but behaves well once he knows you. Royal may take more than one meeting before he warms up to new people, so more than one meet & greet may be best. He's a smaller Akita, really sweet, good on leash and excellent on car rides. Royal doesn't like being hugged by someone he doesn't know, but he will lean on you and mouth if he likes you. He knows all the basic commands and behaves very well on leash. He's not reactive toward other dogs unless they get too close. He seems to have an average Akita prey drive, so cats probably won't like him. He's up to date on shots and is micro chipped. Royal is available for adoption now, if you're interested in meeting him, simply fill out an application and one of us will reach out to you to make the arrangements. Royal would probably be happiest with someone that understands Akita's and preferably with some experience.
