Millie is a fun, happy girl with two sides: she can be independent and off doing her own thing like exploring the yard, but then she also loves to cuddle with her human and play with other dogs. She is potty trained, kennel trained, and walks great on a leash. She is a big, strong girl, weighing around 95 pounds. She is 8 years old and spayed. She is looking for a new home because her owner passed away. Millie's shepherd instincts make her a bit protective of her owner and property, and she will bark when she hears or sees things outside. She is slow to trust visitors, new people, and new pets, but does okay with careful introductions. We were told that she did okay with children at her previous home but we don't know about cats or other animals. She also likes to go outside a lot as she was previously an indoor/outdoor dog so an ideal home for her would have free access to the outdoors, and a larger yard with little activity. Just to reiterate: if you have frequent visitors and intend to have her around them, you should have a plan for helping her be carefully introduced to them, or she may not be the right dog for you.
