We pulled Rosie (microchip claimed her name was Cupcake but she didn't respond) from Long County Animal Control after her owners were notified and refused to come reclaim her. She had been there 3 weeks. We made one last attempt to call them and they said they were coming but just let us take her anyways. Rosie definitely is one of the sweetest girls. She is crate trained (rides quietly in that car in her crates as well) walks on a leash well and is very sweet. She will alert you if someone is at your home with a good bark so no apartments or condos for this girl. She does stop when told and respects a bark collar if needed. She gets a little excited when she's happy as most boxers do so no small children. Rosie would also be fine I believe with cats, monitored of course and introduced properly. She loves to carry around toys and just is an all around sweet girl. She is tall and lanky at 4t pounds. She is full grown and not expected to grow any more. She's a lean girl and loves to run and play so a fenced yard or active family would be wonderful for her! Please apply at sger.petfinder.com if Rosie seems like a good fit for your family. We pull from high kill shelters so adopting Rosie leaves us space to save another!
