About Hunter

Adoption Fee: $325
Australian Shepherd mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Cuz he's got per-so-nality! Little Man Hunter is a precious package of charming pupsonality-smart, happy, loving. He's an approximately 14 month, 40 poundish double merle deafie, Aussie/Corgi mix. Chronically cute, incurably contented, and classically cuddly-this little guy has many talents. Hunter lightens a lousy day and warms a chilly night. The quintessential lap dog-lots of sweet snuggles. Super smart with a superb sniffer-Hunter loves puzzles and snuffle mats and treat treasure hunts. He's a fun, friendly boy who enjoys catch and playing with other pups. No one is a stranger. Foster Mama says, 'Hunter is a gentle little soul with so much love to give, he deserves the warmest, most loving family.' Little man is on target with house manners and sits by the door when nature calls. We suspect Hunter does have a bit of vision impairment as well as being deaf, Mom and Dad will want to get him some doggy sunglasses for outdoor escapades (dog goggles to protect from UV rays and debris). Won't he look Exceptionally Adorable in them? Deaf pooches seem to have a way of connecting on the deepest level, Hunter will be such a Heart Dog. People who are home a lot and looking for a cuddle buddy or prefer to spend their time with a dog by their side will win Hunter's heart. His Forever Family has had experience with a special needs pup or researched their joys and quirks. They have considered the lifestyle and are 100% committed and ready to add a deafie to their home. They are looking for Hunter and will treasure him. His Folks will be herding/working breed knowledgeable and give Hunter social, mental, and physical enrichment. Kiddos 7 and up who understand and respect dogs are great. A fenced yard is best for this fellow, but exceptions are considered for the right 'all-in' family. Invisible fences are not suitable for our deafies. Another confident, socialized dog of similar temperament would be fine. Multiresidential buildings (such as apartments) are not a good fit for this pup. The best adopters give their new family member time to decompress and grow familiar with a new environment and routine. They invest time to understand their dog and build a bond of trust and provide guidance and training. An adopter commits to slow and monitored introductions with new people, especially children, other animals, and new places. Hunter popped up to say, 'Hiya, My Forever! I'm soooooo ready be yours. Love you already.' Do you see Hunter's Heart? Is he meant to by your canine cuddle buddy? Fill out an application at the link below to be considered as a possible adopter.
