To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :) Ooooooh my goodness!!!!!!!!! Sweet Georgie is one little guy that could melt your heart. Hard to believe this little fella was picked up as a stray and was in not so great shape. He was thin, dirty and horribly matted. Fortunately, he was picked up and brought to a safe and very caring shelter that got him on his feet again. Georgie had to be sheared completely down, his coat was too matted to be saved. But, he is free from those uncomfortable constraints and he has a new lease on life. George, as we and his other new friends call him, has settled into his foster home well. You might think a guy that has been thru so much might have a little chip on his shoulder, but he does not. George is all love, he is a little ray of sunshine. He is just a year old, such a baby still and has his whole life ahead of him, but in his short time of living, apparently it has not been so great. He is not a guy that will let them hold him down. George is the sweetest, most well mannered, loving, gentle and silly guy we have met in a long time. We can see that he is a Shih Tzu, he perhaps has another breed(s) in there, so we cannot tell you if he is indeed a more hypoallergenic dog, so if you have sever allergies, then perhaps he is not for you. George is looking for a loving home, another playful dog would be great. He LOVES LOVES LOVES playing with the other spunky dogs in his foster home so are first choice for his new home would be another playful dog or two, and active home, someone that love getting out for walks(he loved the forest preserve today!!). Georgie will go home with plenty of supplies to help him settle into his new home. His adoption fee is $500(which will help greatly with our less adoptable pals!).
