Jareth is an approx. 1-2 y/o, 21# handsome Corgi boy who found himself all alone in a TX slammer with no one coming to look for him. He is getting used to being an indoor dog and is starting to settle down. He was very distracted and anxious at first and very interested in his female foster siblings even though they are fixed. Jareth is now neutered and can move on to better things like ball chasing, zoomies, couch napping, and snuggling. Although he wouldn't mind a job or learning a dog sport. We can't say that Jareth is 100 percent potty trained but he has been very successful the past couple weeks and has only had a couple accidents. He still needs frequent trips outside and watched closely. He doesn't love the crate and vocalizes his displeasure when in one unless given something to keep him occupied (note he's picky about what he chooses to occupy him). He hasn't chewed on anything inappropriate in his foster home. He is not a good fit for an apartment situation so a secure fenced in yard is REQUIRED. He needs an ACTIVE home with another friendly dog or dogs his size (he is fearful of and overwhelmed by bigger dogs) to play with to help burn off his energy. Jareth is fine with dog savvy cats and respectful children 10+. Jareth walks nicely on a leash and enjoys exploring. He will need a training class or two to learn cues and how to focus. Jareth is recently neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. If you are interested in meeting Jareth and meet the requirements above, complete the meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home including pets. Jareth's adoption fee is $475 and we are not doing out of state adoptions.
