This pretty girl was named Luna by her family - when she was originally with us in 2020 her name was Anna - so because we have a Luna already in the shelter we will be referring to her as Luna Ann. She is a big girl at over 100 lbs. She is a Great Pyrenees/Great Dane mix. She is very affectionate and loving with people. She was adopted from us when she was under a year old. Her owner returned her as their adult daughter moved back home with her dog and a dog fight erupted - the daughter tried to break it up and got bit in the process so as a result this pretty girl lost her forever home. We have had NO issues with her whatsoever since she has been back with us. She went in yesterday for a physical at the vet and just wanted everyone to love on her. We believe with proper introduction she would do fine with other dogs. Because of her size we would recommend older kids who can handle a 100 plus lb. dog but she adores little kids so if small children aren't afraid to get knocked down by her tail, butt or kisses that would be fine. The vet did tell us that she should be on a diet and get more exercise. She is housebroken, spayed, current on shots, heartworm negative and current on preventatives. She just needs her very own home where she doesn't loose it if someone new comes in. She is not good with cats. Her adoption fee is $125.00. If interested in her, please go to our website at www.patriotsforpets.com and submit an application and then we can set up a time for you to meet her once tentatively approved.
