About Rosa-FOSTER/ADOPT URGE

Adoption Fee: $200
Australian Kelpie / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

ROSA So Cal peeps! Rosa is looking for a foster or preferably a forever home! She's only 35 to 40 pounds of sweet & silly! She's a really nice dog. Let me tell you about her. She's a cattle dog (heeler)/kelpie mix as best we can tell. She's about 1.5 years old. She's got no tail (a story for another day). She loves toys, she loves water, she loves walks and runs and I think she'd be great for someone that wants a hiking buddy or a running partner, but she would also be fine for someone who just wants to walk her and throw the ball for her. She's been to the dog beach and dog park and done fine (not with me but with others). She definitely has those herding dog qualities of being mouthy and a little bossy from time to time so for living situations, she is best suited to be either an only dog or with a mellow or submissive dog that's not going to over react to her energy and herding. She's been non reactive to other dogs on walks (even to other dogs that were being jerks). She knows some basic commands. She does need some work on leash. She's a bit of a puller. She also needs to learn not to steal my sandwich off the kitchen counter. Lol. She does amazing in her crate and she responds well to correction and redirecting her mouth to a toy instead of me. She's not at all aggressive. We were told she's a resource guarder, but I've seen none of that here. She let's me take away her chews and toys and let's me take stuff out of her mouth if I'm not sure what she's found to chew on. She's fully housetrained. She's spayed, chipped, and current on core vaccines. As a bonus, we have a trainer in Wildomar and a trainer in Desert Hot Springs that will give a couple free lessons if she's adopted in one of those areas. If you're interested in this fabulous girl, please message me for an application!
