About Kona

Hi, my name is Kona! I was rescued from Texas where my family was not taking care of me or any of the other dogs living on the property. After my sister was hit by a car she found a rescue to help her and sent word out about the rest of us needing help. I was saved by a wonderful person who is now my foster mom. She wants the best for me to help me find my forever family. Onto the best part - me! I am between 3-4 years old. Being previously deprived of love, I soak up all the cuddles I can get and love to sit with you. I really like sleeping next to you if allowed, but if not, I'll take anywhere soft! I am great with other dogs but I am a little too interested in cats. I am already housetrained and know my basic commands like sit and come. Sadly, living outside I was exposed to contacting heartworm disease and someone shot me in the leg. Don't worry, my mom is paying for my heartworm treatment and will get me vaccinated as soon as I am done with it and heartworm free! I do walk with a bit of a limp. For now I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know that soon I will be looking for my very own family.
