She's perky! She's petite! She's pretty! Who is this practically perfect pup? It's Pepper, an 11-month-old powerhouse of a rat terrier packed with 12 lbs. of playfulness and personality. Pepper loves to play with her three canine foster sisters and even the resident cat. She issues her invitations by bowing, gently nudging them, and barking out, 'Play with me!' She's a good girl with her foster mom's 5-year-old granddaughter and quite the party animal too, as she demonstrated by wowing the human guests (there were over 100!) at an event held at her foster home. Smart little Pepper knows 'sit, ' and she'll stop whatever she was doing if you tell her 'no.' She'll lighten up the intensity of her play if she hears 'easy,' and she'll attempt to oblige if you take her out and tell her 'potty.' She clearly has excellent hearing as the word 'treat' brings her running no matter where she might be! Pepper is house-trained too and will bark to go out. She only has an accident if she's left alone too long (over 4 hours) out of her crate with no opportunity to go outside. She loves people so much, however, that she strongly hopes you wouldn't leave her alone for long periods anyway. At night, she'll sleep in her crate if you insist, but she would much prefer to be cuddled up in bed with you. Now, there's one other thing that causes her to bark, and that's seeing her reflection! We're pretty sure that's because she can't resist inviting herself to play. If you check out her additional photos and video in her online album at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/pepper , we're equally sure you won't be able to resist inviting Pepper to be a part of your life. ---------------------------------------------------- IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING PEPPER, please go to New Rattitude's website at https://newrattitude.org/adopt/, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application.
