Meet LIL-MAN! STATS: 7 year old Shih Tzu Lhasa Apso mix LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: A loving home where he gets lots of attention. HIGHLIGHTS: Sweet, friendly, happy, good as an only or with others. Lil-Man is a 7 year old, 15 pound Shih Tzu Lhasa Apso mix who was surrendered to us by his owner who is going to be traveling doing mission work and wasn't able to take him. He has the most adorable underbite! Lil-Man is lovable, and loves all kinds of attention. He never meets a stranger, and wags his tail with everyone. He never meets a stranger and everyone who meets him falls instantly in love with him. He gets along great with other dogs and would be fine in a home with others or as an only dog. We have not had him around cats or kids but believe he would be fine with either, although to be safe we're going to say older kids since he is untested. Lil-Man is a very happy dog! He has good energy, loves to run around the yard and also just as much loves to nap. Lil-Man is very nearly potty trained. His foster mom has only noted one accident in the home. So our guess is he is fully house trained, he just needs to get used to the routine of a new home. He will bark one time at the back door if he needs to go. He goes up and down the back steps with ease and walks on his leash like a pro. Lil-Man listens and seems to understand basic commands like stay, in, out and go. He loves to ride in the car and will jump up in by himself. Lil-Man is basically the perfect all-around dog who's going to fit well in almost any home! He has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He does need a dental and we will have that done when he gets his neuter. Both of those procedures will be scheduled at one of our vets and are covered by the rescue. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review.
