About Roo - Red Heeler pup

ROO is a super sweet 8 month old Australian Cattle dog looking for a loving home with a doggie friend to play chase. Loves pretty much everything - belly rubs, treats, toys, and playing with other dogs. He has a great temperament, although he can be a little timid and shy around new people. A home with another dog to help him feel comfortable and show him the ropes would be ideal. Medium energy puppy, not typical high energy or nippy like many heelers. Dog friendly with all dogs, big and small - he loves to play with other dogs. Housetrained. Crate trained. Roo has weekly training sessions with a trainer in his foster home. Being a smart boy, he quickly learned basic commands 'sit, stay, off, and working on lay down'. Walks well on leash. Not destructive inside or outside and is not a counter surfer. Great car rider. Sleeps through the night in his own bed, but would also be happy sharing your bed. Barks to initiate play, but not an incessant barker. Loud yelling can scare Roo, so a home with children over 8 is recommended. A home with a fully fenced yard would be best. Does not have a strong prey drive, but since we are unable to cat test him, we will not be adopting him to a home with a cat. He would be great with a single person, couple or family who will include him in their lives. ROO is 32 lbs. neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention. *In addition to his adoption fee, there is a transport fee to bring this handsome little guy to Colorado or the PNW.
