About Tessa and Tonie

Tessa, the older of the two at around age 6 is Tonie's lifeline and leader. Tonie is maybe 2 years younger. Tessa is friendly and outgoing with a generous personality while Tonie is more reserved and tends to stay in the background. Tonie tends to look for direction in Tessa's actions. Both girls were found together as strays and still need to be spayed. It is a long process these days with Vets booked months in advance so they can go with a spay contract. They both need a forever home before we can possibly get them on a schedule. Tessa and Tonie are loungers...neither has destructive qualities when owners are away from home. They love to sunbathe. We are working on learning more about them as they go into their foster home in the Gorman area just north of Los Angeles. They are both are sure to win your heart. Right now we are finding that Tonie is EXTTREMELY scared and untrusting. So much so that when on a leash she will lay down and grab the ground in terror with her paws. She will cower down and will not walk. We have had to carry her place to place and she enjoys the ride. However, if Tess is nearby being walked, Tonie may or may not decide to follow. If Tessa is out of sight, Tonie will do anything to find her. Our goal is to get both girls to have more confidence without the other. Separating them might be the answer but we will be working on both before we can let them go unless someone once a real project. Someone with experience, love and patience to help them. They are a true rescue pair who can't even be dragged indoors...they have never known it..never known real love and membership within a family. BOTH are sweet without an ounce of aggression and have done well with two foster siblings in their first foster. In their second they did extremely well with four other Female Weimaraner. STAND BY...they will both be available soon. Backstory...the girls were found sleeping in someones backyard. Finder tried everything to find an owner but nobody wanted them or claimed them.
