He is sweet boy and anxious with his sudden life change but he's really happy to be in a safe home. Jake likes other dogs, as he is used to living with many, and may need a dog in the home to be comfortable. He loves to receive pets and will thank you with gentle kisses if you let him. Jake enjoys sleeping in a cozy dog bed, on the floor, or on the couch with people. He really likes dog toys and puzzles and would love some in his new home. Jake loves to romp around in a fenced in yard and follow his people around. Jake is looking for a home where he can feel secure and spoil his humans with cuddles. Jake dislikes being separated from his people (cries, pants, small howls) but should gain confidence as his feelings of security grows and with training. He does not like to share his lap or dog toys when approached by large dogs. Jake showed signs of resource guarding towards big dogs when he was settling in his foster home, but it has been reduced greatly. Jake has not shown signs of resource guarding directed at people or towards the other small dog in his foster home. Jake enjoys short car rides but gets car sick in longer rides, which could be reduced with medication. VETTING: Jake has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed and treated for fleas. He had a dental and has received his rabies and DHPP vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. He is currently being treated for a double ear infection.
