****Please read the listing fully before responding. And--we really appreciate the responses that include information about yourself(home, yard, fence, family, other pets, work hours) or of course, we would be delighted if you would use our application at sparrowdogs.com, thanks! One little picture really does not do this guy justice..you can see the smile, the silliness, the bounce, the wiggle butt!! And let me tell you, he has that wiggle butt down to a science...well, actually it may be a bit more of a shimmy, but it is very cute! Robby is a year old Beagle/German Shorthaired Pointer, maybe cattle dog as well, from what we are guessing. This southern boy came all the way from Alabama to Chicago to find his happily ever after. Robby is just a year old, and has already had a return to a shelter after an adoption. The family said he was too active, but perhaps they were looking for a more laid back dog? Robby has a couple(we guess) breeds that will contribute to a more active, need to stay busy kind of guy. Robby loves to follow his nose and will hold a point on birds and such. We wouldn't say that Robby is hyper by any means, but then again, he needs a play buddy, a walking/hiking partner and is not one to spend lazy days lounging on the couch. But, if you are looking for a happy, loving, outgoing, friendly side kick, Robby is your guy. He has been a perfect gentleman in his foster home. We do crate him at night, or while away for an hour or two and he is fine with that. I would not say he has to be crated all night in his new home, but as a busy foster family we start the newbies crated until we understand their bathroom skills as well is they will be destructive. (our poor wood trim!!) Robby has been fine, he has not been destructive and not one accident in the house. He was a shelter favorite where he came from, and we are quite smitten as well~~!! Please email Kristine at [email protected], Robby will go home with plenty of supplies(worth around $200 to help his adopter save on extra expenses!) His adoption fee is $300.
