Duke is a bmc/ bully mix - as far as we guess- the shelter put him at 3-5 years old. He is the sweetest guy. Has learned to be gentle even though he is solid/heavy at 60lbs. He is neutered and utd on vaccines. He might be best in a home as an only dog - but if someone wants to slowly introduce him to another dog, he definitely warms up to them. Initially shelter said he was dog aggressive but I really believe that was only because he was starving. He gets along great with all 4 of my dogs. Not sure on the cats & kids part. I would be careful with kids just because he's strong & might snap when giving him a treat, have to say gentle and then he's perfect.Duke is so perfect - doesn't need a crate at all. We put him in one with a pen when we first got him, he was perfect so we never locked him in the crate. He was pretty traumatized from starving and whatever he went through, I didn't have the heart to lock him up. So we just have him gated in our guest room when we aren't with him since initially he couldn't be with the other dogs.
