***URGENT*** Confident five year old BO and his gentle two year old son TURTLE were rescued from death row at the cruel kill pound in Corpus Christi, TX, where they were abandoned to their fate by their uncaring 'owner.' From there, the bonded Pitbull pair ended up languishing for months in a rundown boarding facility in Houston where they injured themselves breaking out of their separate kennels to be with each other. After discovering that the two were inseparable, the challenge to place BO and TURTLE in the same forever family was on. A home with a generous elderly adopter was finally found for the lovable pair in Brandford, CT, where it appeared they were all destined to live happily ever after, until days ago when, tragically, the adopter was suddenly stricken with an unknown illness and remains hospitalized in critical condition. BO and TURTLE are being cared for by the adopter's neighbor who is willing to help them for only a day or two more. This is now an EMERGENCY rescue situation: BO and TURTLE are about to be surrendered to yet another pound and we are appealing for a foster or adopter with room in their home and heart for the pair who must be kept together. Even if BO and TURTLE survive the pound they are about to be taken to, they will likely be separated, and it is feared that that action, by itself, will have fatal consequences for both. If you can help them stay together, please call Andrew at (646) 387-9868. There is no adoption fee of any kind and a generous sponsor will cover their major medical expenses. Thank You for your interest in the plight of BO and TURTLE.
