About Hardy

Four year old Hardy suffered as a pup and only now in foster is he experiencing love. We rescued him at an underweight 53 pounds and now at 75 gorgeous pounds he still thinks he is a lapdog. A Huge snuggler with a lust for life, Hardy insists on being in your lap or sprawled next to you on the couch, or taking an easy chair for himself. Hardy is healthy, fully vetted, on heartworm prevention, sweet and loving but very mouthy. It's how he expresses himself. He knows basic commands and listens well but he's very strong and will need someone who can handle his strength. Hardy is still insecure and gets nervous around strangers and dogs. He bonded with his foster dog buddy, a submissive hound, but would be best as your only dog so he gets the attention, affection and training he needs. We can recommend an oustanding trainer in the Raleigh area. Hardy loves to run, play with toys and be loved on. He is very protective so introducing him to new people will take patience. No aggression or biting but he is a big strong dog and a formidable presence. Best for someone (strong) who works from home, and has a fenced yard.
