Meet Molly, an adorable 11-year-old, 10 lb. papillon with the sweetest eyes and softest coat. She was surrendered to our rescue after her owner got diagnosed with cancer and was unable to keep her. She came to Connecticut from the south over seven years ago and has been with the same family ever since. We don't believe that Molly got proper socialization so she needs an adopter that is patient and experienced, preferably a single person or adult only home. Molly takes some time to warm up to people but once she does, she's a love and will climb right into your lap for pets. She is currently in foster with a small senior dog and cats and does fine with both (she does best with mellow pups). Molly enjoys her walks, treats, naps, laying in the sun, and being with her people. She has shown some possessiveness over the person she bonds with and is a 'fear biter' so having dog experience is an absolute must. While she has some quirks, Molly can be a very good girl and walks well on leash and is crate trained. As long as she's in a routine, she will go to the bathroom outside but is also pee-pad trained. During the two weeks she has been in foster, Molly has shown significant improvement and is treat motivated, which has alleviated some of her stress and leashing due to her anxiety. Her adoption is $350 and Molly is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She qualifies for our Senior-to-Senior program so if you're 60+ or older, you can adopt Molly for $300. She has a scheduled dental appointment for 11/16 in Bethel, CT so adopters must be local.
