About Ryuu

Ryuu (pronounced rye-you = means dragon) is a 3 year old male Shiba Inu dog. He has had formal training from a licensed trainer and is a friendly, playful, loyal and loving dog. Our family has loved him dearly and it breaks our hearts to have to rehome him. However, after contracting covid for the second time, I developed severe asthma. I purchased an AC air purification system for my home, a second one to put next to my bed, a robo vac to run daily, I tried multiple medications, but I continue to struggle with asthma attacks that are life impacting. Additionally, I am no longer able to provide Ryuu with the home life he deserves with playtime and daily walks. Ideally, I would love for Ryuu to rehome with a family that will be able to offer him the love and time he deserves. He loves to cuddle and will even sleep curled right up with a person at night if allowed. Ryuu hasn't met a dog or cat he hasn't liked and is very tolerant of children. My daughter plays dress up with Ryuu and he always sits still and permits her to put all her Disney ear headband or hats on him for photo ops. Ryuu's had many cat friends as well. Ryuu's only health issue would be that he has suffered an acute cataract in his right eye. He was taken to a specialist that said surgery was not required as he had no issues with his left eye. Ryuu also has an overbite on his bottom teeth that is just adorable and is not health affecting. Ryuu is completely up to date on all vaccinations and comes with his training certificate, breeder paperwork, and all his care necessities: bowls, collars, leashes, toys, bed, treats, foods, shampoos, and medicine. Ryuu is currently on an anti-depressant medication prescribed by his vet to aide him with transitioning to a new home. We have all of Ryuu's vet records to pass along for his continued care.
