About Marley

Meet Marley! This big goofy meatball will provide all the entertainment you'll ever need. A beefy dog doing zoomies is a remedy for what ails you. Marley has an uncanny ability to arrange blankets and pillows so they are as comfy as possible. Be careful in sunny spots of the house or you'll trip over him. He can't pass up a snooze in a warm spot, and sometimes in a not-so-subtle belly rub pose. When not hogging the blankets, he likes to play with any ball available. Be sure to keep a ready supply since it's his favorite activity. It's impressive to see him leap in the air to catch a ball. As soon as the harness comes out, Marley is ready to go. He's a pleasant walking companion, and he also enjoys hiking and wading. As a people pleaser, Marley is fun to work with and he enjoys learning. He gets along with other dogs so a sibling may actually help his confidence or he can be your one and only. However, no children or cats. Marley enjoys the company of people, but is cut out for a small family unit. The reason he is looking for a new home is because he is having trouble with his very active household with people coming and going and the door opening and closing. Let's just say all this interferes with his chi. He loves his current family and they love him, but the environment is stressful for this sensitive boy. Marley would love a quiet household which would also enable him to grow more confident. Back Story: Before Marley's current family adopted him, he was a victim of abuse. His insecurity likely stems from that experience followed by a very long-shetler stay while the case was active. It's easy to understand why he does better with a quiet, adult-only home that doesn't have lots of bustle and noise. That's all he needs! Please note that Marley takes issue with people around his food. He should be left alone to eat in peace, away from people and other animals. Please consider adopting this really sweet dog.
