About Star Marie

Hi, my name is Star, although I could be called Cuddle Bug or Shadow with how much I love being around my humans. I am a gorgeous 2-year-old red husky with so much love to give! I love prancing like a princess while on walks and I am so great on a leash, although sometimes squirrels or lizards catch my attention and they're fun to stop and watch. After my morning walk, I am perfectly content to nap the rest of the day near my humans. Dog beds are okay, but my favorite spot is to be next to you on a couch or bed. I am still learning what toys are and how exciting they can be. What I truly love is sitting in front of the window and watching what's going on outside. If I'm not napping, you can bet I've got a front row seat to the window. Did I mention how much love I have to give? After being away from you, I'll probably try to jump up to give you face kisses. I'm learning that jumping is not nice and am slowly getting the hang of not doing this. If you're sitting, I'll plop into your lap to show you just how much I love you. I am a young husky and want to see all that the world has to offer. Because of this, I need to be watched carefully when I'm off leash if in the fenced in backyard because I can be a bit of an escape artist. I have never met a human I didn't absolutely adore and shower with kisses. I'd be great for a family where someone works from home because I will keep you company and nap quietly while you do your work, content just to have your company. I am good with other dogs and my foster brother is teaching me how to play with dogs, although I seem to be more comfortable giving a play bow to people and wrestling with them. I'd be happy in a home with other dogs or as your one and only. Additionally, I have not been tested with cats. I am crate trained and don't mind sleeping in it at all, as long as, I have company. I do whine a little and sing the song of my people if you kennel me and leave, but I calm down after a few minutes. I am also potty trained and immediately do my business when taken outside.
