This is Rocky. He comes from Alabama and has spent a couple of his 5 years in shelters. He is sweet, playful, crate-trained, a great backseat driver, will work for belly rubs, thinks he's a lap dog, has been gentle with neighborhood kids. The problem? His owner is a 73 year old petite lady who just can't manage his strength. He can be reactive on the leash which makes walking in a dog-filled neighborhood very difficult when he decides to pull, and he has a high prey drive. He's been working with a trainer, is a very fast learner, uses the Gentle Leader collar without too much complaint and has been fully vetted including a microchip, flea and tick preventive, heartworm preventive and a Lyme vaccine. This is not an inner-city or apartment dog -- he needs some space, preferably fenced, to keep other dogs out. If you think you can give this boy a whole lot of love, please get in touch.
