About Chopper

Chopper is a 7 year old Husky mix who came into the shelter as a stray on 9/7/22. He weighs 53 lbs. When a dog this gorgeous and well-behaved comes into the shelter we know there's got to be an owner out there somewhere missing them. We were hopeful Chopper could be reunited with his when we found he had a microchip, but unfortunately his owner never came in to reclaim him. He's hoping his gentlemanlike manners will help him find a new family ASAP! Chopper walks well on a leash��%BD'��%BD|as long as you don't mind frequent smelling stops to assuage his curiosity. He's mostly happy to calmly walk around and sniff stuff - he doesn't have too high of an energy level. He loves treats and is more than happy to earn them by sitting on command. He'll hold his position for quite a while too! He really appreciates it when you take the time to pet him, and often reciprocates with a kiss or two!
